Maria Sharapova vs Elena Dementieva

So, I'm guessing no one watched the Sharapova/Dementieva match last night? It was really good. Sharapova won the first set, Dementieva won the second. Then in the third they were really close, but Sharapova pulled ahead and won. It was a good match and the footwork was nice too. However, there seemed to be an extrordinary numbere of double faults and hits that hit the top of the net (and didn't go over). Sharapova had fourteen double faults and Dementieva six, the last time I looked. Why so many?

My German Friend Has A Cute Accent (IT SAVED!!!! YAY!!!!)

I am back from camp and it was a lot of fun. One of the people was German and she was so funny. Before the dance, we dressed her up as 'Harriet Potter'. Then she started chewing a straw, so 'Potter' became 'Pothead'. Lots of fun.
I was online researching the new Minimed Mio insertsion sets, and I came across these reviews.

1) I refuse to use an inserter. I feel if I can't do it myself then I don't have the right to be a diabetic!

2) I am so frustrated with all the additional, unnecessary medical waste that pumps create!

They don't really make any sense, I mean, what is the 'right' to be diabetic? If using an inserter took away that 'right' I think just about everyone would be using one. And what is the 'unnecessary medical waste' from pumps? There are old sets and tubes but those are nessecary. the omnipod doesn't use tubes, but it still has a set and resevoir. Those are about the only things that have to be changed. The Mio/

Good Bye Wyoming, Hello Fishtail!

So, I'm going to "Beartooth Mountain Christian Ranch". It sounds like they grow Christians, in a way, like "Hello, welcome to Mount Carmel Youth Ranch, Powell County Cow Ranch, Hidden Valley Ranch Ranch." However, I am not going to a Bible camp or anything. It is a camp for kids with diabetes. This is the website. I'll be back on Sunday, so have fun without me til then. :)

mountain dew, cupcakes, and pizza make for a good party

My friend Annamarie had a sleepover for her birthday. At about 9 PM we had pizza and cupcakes with icecream. Anna's mother had bought sodas too. There was Pepsi and Mountain Dew. I think everyone had two or three cans. Maybe that's the reson we could pull an allnighter....
At any rate, we played a lot of Mario cart. I have decided that is my new favorite game. If you have a iphone or ipod touch you can get this app called shrek kart. It is so fun. Not as good as mario kart, but then again, is anything?

new stuff

I think I have everything figured out. I renamed this thing "harrypotterandthecircleofmagic.blogspot.com" so it's "harry potter and the circle of magic" after my new favorite genre of fanfic. If I say so, will anyone either a) make a fanfiction.net account b) read the Circle of Magic series by Tamora Pierce or c) do a and b? I hope so.
Anyways, I will be gone at camp from next Thursday to Sunday, so no stuff from me. I will tell you all about it on Sunday night when I get back.

I am now through the brick wall. I have a follower. I cleaned my room today. I smells like pledge lemon wax. I should vaccuum too. Hey, one more thing, I'm flying to New York this summer, so do you want a post from 22,000 ft or whatever? and airport photos? ooh, i hope we fly through Chicago O Hare. it's Maggie Mayhem!

So, last night I watched Whip It. Has anyone else seen this? It's about a girl (Bliss) and her mum makes her do beauty pagents. Bliss is at the mall one day and. bunch of girls from a roller derby come in. Bliss ends up joining the Hurl Scouts, a roller derby team. Anyways, there's another Scout called Maggie Mayhem. I think she looks a LOT like my old PE teacher, who coincidentally, is named Maggie also. Maggie Mayhem doesn't go out and party with the Scouts because she has a little boy named Riley. Maggie the PE teacher has a little girl named Riley. So....just coincidence? Tell me what you think.

It's the vampire days of summer....

You'll almost never hear me say 'vampire' unless it's to diss Twilight. No, I am not a Twilight hater, but after the first book it was just kinda stupid.
At any rate, it's the vampire days of summer. All the fresh, juicy berries are arriving in Wyoming and the juice gets all over your face. Blackberries give you a goth-vampire lipstick look and strawberries get red all over your chin.
It's actually warm today, 75 F or so. A few days ago it was almost freezing and people were breaking out their winter jackets again.

Ok, fine. I think I lied. Its 4:42 PM and I have no photos. I went to a craft/class at the library, because Claire was working. We made altered books. Thats when you cut out the insides and paint and stuff.

However, we do have a LIST of things in Cody. There are little, "secret" pathways between Circle Dr. and Nielson Park. The is a time capsule in the bottom of Buffalo Bill's statue in City Park. There is a house with an actual turret. There is a trail (with bridges in it) between Paul Stock Trail and the Riverway. And, there is a three story tree house at the end of West Ave. Ha, there. Done at 4:47.

BTW, Vieune is a librarian I know and she drives a pink Vespa scooter thing. Epic or what?

First intermission

That was opening night, now we're at the first intermission. Beware, there may be more later tonight. I'm just getting this figured out; the whole "touch and drag" thing doesn't work too well on touchscreen. Anyways, Facebook is now here, Crayondog. I am an 'author'. (seeing as I'm not a band, singer, or celebrity. I wish)
I'm thinking of cutting my hair vaguely like the cover model on hair show mag, without the dye. I just haven't been able to commit to cutting my hair THAT short. However, if I did that, I could do Tonks at my school's Halloween contest. Will you my (hopefully) faithful (nonexistent) readers tell me what to do? Sweet dreams, Gilly

Opening night

So, this is my first blog entry. I need something to do this summer, ie: Julie and Julia, travel diary, stories, small town adventures, cake wreck inspired quest for funniness. Any ideas?
Here are a few goals I have. Get a Jill Ross worthy tennis serve, clean my room, actually study some French, bike around with my friends on a mini marathon.
