Purple Plaid Leggings

I bought purple plaid leggings today. I wanted to buy the calf-high red plaid and black boots, but they were about $40, so no. Hey Claire, I wanted you to know I saw some boots like yours. Some were $67 and some were $150. Tell yer mama your boots were pretty cheap. :)

At any rate. Please somebody go to PBS and watch Falling Darkness. It's linked in the post below. I really, really liked it. It was Lord of the Rings worthy. It was Collision worthy. It bypassed Order of the Phoenix. Yeah. So.

Falling Darkness

I know I said I would post about Saturday, but I didn't. I'd do it now, but I only have a few minutes.
Last night I watched Falling Darkness, an Inspector Lewis Mystery. Here's the trailer.

Now, if you actually want to watch it, go here: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/lewis/watch.html BEFORE OCTOBER 26th.
Now, since I feel like it, can you guess who all these British actresses are?
Ann Stallwood and Tolin in Collision

Robbie Lewis and Laura Hobson in Falling Darkness
 Who plays Stallwood and Hobson?
I wonder sometimes why most police-women in PBS Mystery shows are small and blonde.  Even Barbara Havers is blonde-ish.

Alleluia!

So Maddy Prior and the Carnival Band sing A Boy Was Born, okay? And the song goes:

A boy was born in Bethlehem,
Rejoice for that Jerusalem!
Alleluia!

For low he lay within a stall
Who rules for ever overall
Alleluia!

He let himself a servant be,
That all mankind he might set free.
Alleluia!

Then praise the Word of God who came
To dwell within a human frame.
Alleluia!

And praised be God in threefold might,
In glory bright
Eternal good and infinite.
Alleluia!

Once I decided to modify the song to fit Harry Potter.

A boy was born in Godric's Hollow
Rejoice for that England
Alleluia!

And that's all I remember doing. It was cool though.

Last Day of Tennis

I haven't been posting lately, since I've been really busy. It's a couple weeks before homecoming and I'm chairperson for the banner. It's been kinda crazy and I've actually been at school for about 12 hours today. Please excuse me, I'll try I will keep doing this. I have a new idea for my Galadriel costume. I think if I can get a twin and a king size sheet I can do it.
If I do that all I'll need is:
  1- white king size sheet
  1- white twin size sheet
  1- long blonde wig
I think I can do this.
I know I talked earlier about nanowrimo. I'm keeping another blog just for scribbling down ideas and thoughts. It may make sense to you, it may not. Claribel Hawkins.

If wishes were horses

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride. I just watched a great Inspector Lynley movie (called 'If Wishes Were Horses', strangely enough). It wasn't based on any of the actual novels, but it was really good.
Speaking of novels, I'm planning on participating in the 2010 Nanowrimo. For those of you who don't know NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month. The goal is to write a 50,000 word novel, about 175 pages, during November. You can write out plots, character profiles, anything you want, EXCEPT the novel before November. You have to write the whole novel during November. You then submit your story to www.nanowrimo.org. There is an official word counter and it counts the words in your novel, and if you reached 50,000+, you get a purple 'Winner!' picture for your author profile.
There is no real prize for winning, and you don't have to publish or anything. You keep all your rights to the novel. Some people go A and B the C of D and actually submit their novels for publishing. You can find a list of those novels here.
Occasionally, I may provide you with a photo/excerpt from my ideas, it depends on how confident I'm feeling :) I hope you join me on this, if you do- send me your author profile in a comment. Even if you don't join, support all us idiots who are going for it. Not, that it's a bad thing. Just who is crazy enough to write 1,667 words a day, 70 words per hour, 2 words a minute, 1 word every 30 seconds, every moment of November? *cough* someone I know *cough*

Tennis

It was an epic day of tennis. Maria and I have a record of 14-1 and we made it all the way to the quarterfinals. It was really fun. I felt so happy to give a German girl her first ever PB&J. Yes, I was very disappointed that we didn't beat Laramie #2 in the quarterfinals, but that's okay. It was a good day.
