I knew it, in the bottom of my subconciousness. . . .

I thought from the beginning that Adama and Roslin would be a cute couple. He has the funniest smile ever!

Oh, btw, I like this song, I think.

The End

I saw the last episode of BSG Season 1. I have never seen such a cliffhanger. SoStarbuck hyperspace-jumps to Caprica to retrieve this mythical arrow of Apollo that the president needs to open Athena's temple to find Earth. So on Caprica, Starbuck finds the arrow and Number 6. 6 beats the stuffing out of Starbuck, but eventually Starbuck pushes herself and 6 off a balcony and stabs 6 with a knife as they fall. Helo and Sharon #2 find her. Starbuck and Helo get into an argument about killing Sharon, and Sharon runs out and takes off with Starbuck's spaceship. Best line in the episode: Starbuck looks at Helo and says "That b*tch just stole my ride." And then on Galactica/nearby Sharon #1 and this other chick try to drop a nuclear missile in the Cylon basestar. Sharon has to manually drop it and she sees all the other Sharon-cylons and realizes she's a cylon. But they get back to Galactica. While that's happening Adama stages a coup against Laura, I forget why. Tigh (the XO (the second-in-command)) tries to arrest her, but Apollo threatens to shoot Tigh, but Laura won't shoot anyone, so she's jailed and Apollo is taken to see Adama. Sharon #1 and the other chick get back at the same time. Adama shakes the chick's hand then tries to shake Sharon's but she shoots him. And that's how it ended. Thankfully, It was early enough in the evening that I could watch the first episode of season two. :D
And then there was this part earlier where Gaius is trying to talk to 6 and Laura at the same time, and he says he isn't their plaything. They both look up with identical expressions and say "Plaything?" Best line.

BSG

I said I'd tell you more about Battlestar Galactica. I LOVE it. So much. At any rate, here's the main plot so far.
The cast of season one.
The spaceship Galactica is being retired from use and turned into a museum. Another ship (Colonial 1) is taking some passengers and the Secretary of Education (Laura Roslin) to Galactica from the home planet, Caprica. Laura Roslin is really upset because she's just been diagnosed with cancer. Then, all of a sudden,  these bad guy/robots called Cylons come blasting out of nowhere and pretty much blow up Caprica. Galactica (I don't quite remember this part) either tries to destroy some Cylons or does a hyperspace jump to elsewhere. The long and short of it is Galactica, Colonial 1, and ~500 (I think) various spaceships survive. Caprica and all of the other planets with humanoid life are pretty much annihilated.

Caprica, after the Cylon attack.
The commander of Galactica (Adama) orders Galactica to re-activate itself and sends a rescue ship to Caprica. There are two pilots on the rescue mission: Sharon (aka Boomer) and this other guy and they rescue about 50 people from Caprica, including the super-genius scientist, Gaius Baltar. Sadly, to rescue Gaius the "other guy" is left behind on Caprica. Sharon and the rescuees go back to Galactica. The bad thing is, Gaius had an affair with a human-looking Cylon known as Number 6. Number 6 was "killed" on Caprica and now Gaius is hallucinating Number 6. Or she planted an electronic chip in his head so that she could know what he was thinking and make him "see" her. One of those.
Meanwhile, on Colonial 1, it is discovered that the planetary president, Adar, was killed by the Cylons on Caprica. So the presidency passes to the next highest-ranking person in the government, which turns out to be the Secretary of Education, Laura Roslin. She's sworn in as president.
That's about the first episode or two. There's a few other characters who are important, too.

Lee Adama, aka Apollo. Commander's son and general hero.
William Adama. Commander of Galactica.
Sharon, aka Boomer. Seems to have several affairs.
Gaius Baltar. Super genius with a hallucination that controls his life.
Number 6. Mastermind of everything.
Laura Roslin. Secretary of Education President of the Galaxy.
Tylo, aka Chief. Head engineer and good friend of Sharon's.
Kara Thrace aka Starbuck. All-around BA and kick-butt girl.
Anastasia Dualla aka Dee. Head of Communications or some equivalent.
It's an odd show, but I rather like it a lot. I hope you do too.

Technically....

Technically, I'm supposed to be in history class but it's online and my computer isn't working, so I'm ipoding it up. I'd like to tell you about Battlestar Galactica. It's a scifi about ~50,000 people on spaceships trying to run away from a robot species calledthe Cylons. I like it a lot. More later :)

One of the World's Best Storytellers- Brian Jacques

As you may or may not know, Brian Jacques was a British author. He wrote the Redwall series, the Castaways of the Flying Dutchmen series, the Tales of Urso Brunov, 7 Strange and Ghostly Tales, and other assorted childrens' novels. He first wrote Redwall for blind children. That's why it's so descriptive.
Brian Jacques has been many things besides just an author. He's been a sailor, a band-member, a radioshow host, railway fireman, a longshoreman, a long-distance truck driver, a bus driver, a boxer, a bobby (Police Constable 216D), a postmaster, and a stand-up comic.

I personally loved Redwall; I picked it up in 3rd grade. It begins with the tale of a bumbling young mouse who finds his true calling. The series is set in Mossflower Woods where small creatures work and live in general peace. In all of the novels, either some evil vermin comes to attack Redwall, or the Redwallers go out on quests to defeat evil. It's not repetitive. The 22nd book (The Rogue Crew) is coming out this May.

Castaways of the Flying Dutchmen. It's about a boy and his dog, destined to live forever and help those in need. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! Unfortunately, only three books were written.
But, sadly, Brian Jacques died on February 5th at age 71. He died of cardiac complications in the Liverpool hospital. I wanted to write this because it's important to me, and I want to remember. Pick up a Brian Jacques book today and read it.

UPDATE: Oh my goodness. I felt slightly bad not being at all humorous, so here's something that'll make you laugh. Also in Britain. ;)
