Dreams Not About Flying

So flying was pretty fun. My dad and I held this competition between our two hosts aux aire, Stripes and Nice Sweater. I think stripes was the new guy because he was constantly slightly behind Nice Sweater. ;) Stripes did have a nice smile though....
Last night, when we were at my uncle's house, I had this big long complicated dream. All I remember about it now is that my friend, a runner, had her feet amputated. It was like she had had it done a while ago and I hadn't noticed until she pointed it out. What is a dream like that supposed to mean, eh Professor Trelawney?

Your perspective changes when you grow up.

This post is about two things I thought about when I was little.
a. I hated being slightly bucktoothed, and I imagined being like Hermione and having Madame Pomfrey shrink my teeth.
b. I thought Hot Topic was a "bad" store for weird people.

Now, I was in Billings today, after driving myself up, and I went to the orthodontist and her fixed my braces and then sanded some bits of my teeth off. So I don't have slightly bucktoothed teeth anymore. It's kinda hard for me to take in; the source of so much childhood stress is gone, completely. Wow....

I also went to Hot Topic and bought a Hogwarts flag and a cute sparkly scarf. And I signed up for a points card. I really like that store now, they even have Uglydoll hats. The punky people there are so nice. They're some of the nicest store people I've ever met. I have to admire punks in a way. I think it takes a lot of courage to dye your hair and get pierced and just be yourself, like they are.

Haha, listen to modern-day me....

This is cool!

So Kristina, one of two people in this band I like, met Evanna Freaking Lynch. Isn't that cool! I would love to meet her. Both hers again actually. Then I got to thinking, "someone I met met Luna Lovegood." You can't tell me that's not kinda cool. Because it is. To finish this post off, here's another of my cousin's great photos, and a few of mine.
I think this would be a great one for Symposium.

Makes them look like normal people going to Snowcoming or something.

:)

Cute photoshop, ya?

Lol. This is Alasse's.

More Exciting Things

This weekend I attended a quincenera. It was incredible, nearly as fancy as a wedding. The girl who's party it was looked spectacular. She had a white dress for the Mass and a violet one for the dance. She recieved a corona, ring, bracelet, a "medal" (apparently a necklace with a saint on it), a rosary, and a Bible. After that, she renewed her vows to be "pure" until marriage and dedicate her life in honor of Christ. At the dance, she received her last doll, changed her shoes, and had a last dance with her father. It was cool.
Switching subjects, I'm thinking of getting feather extensions. What do you think of them?
And lastly, a few photos I like.

Bonnie Wright at the premier. One of my friends mistook her for my cousin. Which my cousin loved.

Emma!

Like those heels.

Doesn't get much better than this does it?

She looks like a Barbie, yes? Nicki Minaj.

Wink, wink.

This was soo incredible.

Professor McBadass. "I always wanted to use that spell."

Ohh.
This is amazing!

Oopsssss...not really

I haven't posted in forever. That's because almost every post comes from my ipod. I think the ipod is about 2"x4", so you can imagine the keyboard. At any rate, it's snowing, and raining, and it's the middle of June. WTFM? (Fudge monkeys....) Here's a few funny things to keep you amused until next time.

1. I passed my trig final.
2. After passing my trig final, I kinda screamed (really loudly, I think...) and got kicked out of Mrs. Gerber's bio classroom.
3. I took driver's ed. It was actually okay. I didn't crash the car or anything even.
4. My parents wanted my to learn to drive stick, so I got a lesson in Mike's fricking ginormous truck. Like the truck that you climb stairs to sit in. And then I drove it down the highway. AHHH!!! So cool. If they got good mileage, I'd almost buy a truck just to feel totally...like I was driving a truck. It was amazing!
5. I split my lip three times in two days. It seems like I get more injuries in the summer for some reason.
6. My Nanowrimo novel arrived in the mail.
7. I have a Death Kight in WoW. Her name's Fishpuppy and she's a Draenai on Elune. I likey.

Have fun for now, and keep off the roads ! :)

From Tennis, Tennis, Tennis, Tennis, The Tennis Team

So, today, at tennis tryouts, we were all sitting at the lip-gloss table and trying to order pizza. Stephen calls Domino's. "Do you have the 5-5-5 deal? Coupon number? Uh, hold on." We're cracking up so hard. "Six....four, x....5....4. Not valid? Do you have coupons at your store? No? Ok." So we call Pizza Hut. "Conrad?! Hey, do you have the anything-anysize for $10 deal? No? Ok." We talked about going to Pizza on the Run, but it was too expensive so we call Pizza Hut again. "Hee-y, Conrad. It's Stephen. From tennis. Tennis. Tennis. Tennis. Tennis. From the tennis team. I played you yesterday." Funniest thing I've heard in ages.

I Believe In Nar-Faries, I Do, I Do

So here I am in my dad's subaru on my way to Denver. Apparently, it saves $300 per person to fly out of Denver, not Cody. Anyways, Dad wants to see this Natalie Merchant concert. This will be my first non- rolfcoptour concert....

Later
Argh, we're only in Shoshoni. Hey Claire, I was thinking I could video the plane take off. Have you flown? I can't remember if you said.

Even Later, like 2 hours.
We just passed Moneta. Let's play guess the song so I don't lose my sanity to boredom.
#1
Sunrise, Sunset. Sunrise, Sunset/ Swiftly flow the days/ Seedlings turn overnight to sunflo'ers/ Blossoming even as we gaze/ Sunrise, Sunset. Sunrise, Sunset/ Swiftly fly the years/ One season following another/ Laden with happiness and tears
#2
My care is like my shadow/ I bear beneath the sun/ It follows me at all times/ And flies when I pursue it/

Ok, I give up. We just past Hiland. Casper: 54 miles!

ahhggg, some more unmentionable towns later....

Casper Mountain!

CASPER!!!!

Rumble Strips, Lightning, and Sagebrush, Oh My!

So now we're leaving Casper for Denver. Did you know that the rumble strips on interstates get higher in pitch the faster you go?

Song I'm Listening to: Legacy of Comfort
Random Road Sign: End Road Work Killroy Llcs

Later
Song I'm Listening To: Equestrienne
Random Road Sign: Welcome to Colorful Colorado!.

Much Later
Where is Annabel Bonner when I need her? We're lost.

It was Evening All Afternoon
Have you ever been anywhere that just seems pure and untouched? Emily and I were up at Chestnut Ridge and there was a old playground back in the trees. It was haunting, in a way, because it was so

So here I am in Denver. Tonight we are going to a Natalie Merchant concert. I've never been to a professional concert. Hope it's fun. When I can I'll post more, and if our plane has Wi-Fi, you'll get a message from 23,000 ft. Have fun without me, Claire. I love you because you are so good, can't wait to my cousins.
P.S. Collision by PBS and Hotel Rwanda are good movies.

discovering magical keyboards gets old pretty fast. i am so bored....

My German Friend Has A Cute Accent (IT SAVED!!!! YAY!!!!)

I am back from camp and it was a lot of fun. One of the people was German and she was so funny. Before the dance, we dressed her up as 'Harriet Potter'. Then she started chewing a straw, so 'Potter' became 'Pothead'. Lots of fun.
I was online researching the new Minimed Mio insertsion sets, and I came across these reviews.

1) I refuse to use an inserter. I feel if I can't do it myself then I don't have the right to be a diabetic!

2) I am so frustrated with all the additional, unnecessary medical waste that pumps create!

They don't really make any sense, I mean, what is the 'right' to be diabetic? If using an inserter took away that 'right' I think just about everyone would be using one. And what is the 'unnecessary medical waste' from pumps? There are old sets and tubes but those are nessecary. the omnipod doesn't use tubes, but it still has a set and resevoir. Those are about the only things that have to be changed. The Mio/

Good Bye Wyoming, Hello Fishtail!

So, I'm going to "Beartooth Mountain Christian Ranch". It sounds like they grow Christians, in a way, like "Hello, welcome to Mount Carmel Youth Ranch, Powell County Cow Ranch, Hidden Valley Ranch Ranch." However, I am not going to a Bible camp or anything. It is a camp for kids with diabetes. This is the website. I'll be back on Sunday, so have fun without me til then. :)

mountain dew, cupcakes, and pizza make for a good party

My friend Annamarie had a sleepover for her birthday. At about 9 PM we had pizza and cupcakes with icecream. Anna's mother had bought sodas too. There was Pepsi and Mountain Dew. I think everyone had two or three cans. Maybe that's the reson we could pull an allnighter....
At any rate, we played a lot of Mario cart. I have decided that is my new favorite game. If you have a iphone or ipod touch you can get this app called shrek kart. It is so fun. Not as good as mario kart, but then again, is anything?

It's the vampire days of summer....

You'll almost never hear me say 'vampire' unless it's to diss Twilight. No, I am not a Twilight hater, but after the first book it was just kinda stupid.
At any rate, it's the vampire days of summer. All the fresh, juicy berries are arriving in Wyoming and the juice gets all over your face. Blackberries give you a goth-vampire lipstick look and strawberries get red all over your chin.
It's actually warm today, 75 F or so. A few days ago it was almost freezing and people were breaking out their winter jackets again.
I think every Friday I'll include a list of my top 7 songs/movies/websites for you guys. Give me some comments about other things and I'll check them out.
1. Gotta Have You- the Weepies(song)
2. Order of the Phoenix deleted scenes (movie)
3. Before I Fall- Lauren Oliver (book)
4. The Incredibles (movie)
5. Magic and Malice- Patricia C Wrede (book)
6. A Curious Thing- Amy MacDonald (CD)
7. Bmin/e- All Caps (CD)

Hey, is that Vieune or is that the post office lady?

Ok, fine. I think I lied. Its 4:42 PM and I have no photos. I went to a craft/class at the library, because Claire was working. We made altered books. Thats when you cut out the insides and paint and stuff.
However, we do have a LIST of things in Cody. There are little, "secret" pathways between Circle Dr. and Nielson Park. The is a time capsule in the bottom of Buffalo Bill's statue in City Park. There is a house with an actual turret. There is a trail (with bridges in it) between Paul Stock Trail and the Riverway. And, there is a three story tree house at the end of West Ave. Ha, there. Done at 4:47.
BTW, Vieune is a librarian I know and she drives a pink Vespa scooter thing. Epic or what?

5 Things you dont't know about Cody, WY

I am so excited!! 4 (FOUR!!!) people (approx.) have looked at my blog!! Anyways, today, me and my pal Claire are going to find 5 things YOU don't know about Cody, WY. All 5 things will be here by 5 PM tonight.
(this was actually looking for dinner in Sheridan, WY)
